Finally hello to the Yavs in Ireland from Bapa

Hello at last to Emily, Abai, Mommy Kelly and Dad Alan (the Yaverbaums in Ireland) affectionately know as the Yavers or Yavs, when I am really lazy from Grandpa, Dad and father-in-law Gene Lane (hopefully affectionately known as Papagene) in Canada.
It seems already like forever since you guys flew back to Ireland in August (boy do we miss you all). It has been very busy here with Paint the Town, and the Arts Festival in August and September (see http://www.arcac.ca/) and lots of exhibition openings, including Katie Belcher's (known by Abai as Teaky) show and others. We had Peter and Sadie, Joe and Katie, Katie's brother David and his new wife Melissa all at the house for Thanksgiving dinner and it was great. We've also gone apple picking a couple of times and wished we had the Yavers with us on both occasions.
I have a special message and story for Emily. One day a pretty deer was trotting through the forest when she fell into a deep mud puddle. The deer's mother tried and tried to pull her out but she just wasn't strong enough. Oh dear she thought, I must call for help, this is a job for "SUPER MINNY".Help! help, help, "SUPER MINNY" Help!! Fortunately Super Minny was just having a light snack, actually it was a delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich when she heard the cries for help. Oh dear she thought there is a deer in trouble, I better help. Don't worry little deer she thought, "Here I come to save the day, super Minny's on the way" she sang as she flew high in the sky over the forest, her super flying cape flapping in the wind. Then she spotted the Mommy Deer and her poor, muddy, stuck, baby deer. "Don't worry" she said to the Mommy deer "I will save your baby". Then using her super powers she dove into the mud and gently but powerfully lifted the deer up and out of the mud and softly placed her on the grass. The Mommy deer said "oh thank you SUPER MINNY you have saved my baby, but she is so muddy I don't know how I will ever clean her up." Super Minny then said to the Mommy deer "don't worry Mommy deer, I am a super hero and actually I am also a super cleaner, just leave it to me." Super Minny then picked the baby deer up in her arms and flew her to her Grandpa's house in Canada, turned on the water hose in the back yard and sprayed all of the dirt off the baby deer until she was sparkling clean. Then she flew the deer back to her Mommy and the Mommy deer and her baby lived happily and cleanly ever after. Once again SUPER MINNY saved the day.
The end
ps Abai, keep feeding the horses, maybe some day you will get a chance to ride one.
Luv'n stuff
